Sailing of the horse lifeboat in Hollum. This lifeboat was used from 1824 to 1988 to save people, and it was drawn by eight horses. Many rescuers did not survive rescue attempts, and in 1979 seven horses died as well. A memorial has been erected in Hollum for this. A real launching of the boat is done for tourists every month.
