There are numerous cycle paths and routes in this region. Bicycles can be rented at most train stations. Most dune areas are ideal for a combination of cycling and walking.

Transport
By air (Schiphol Amsterdam Airport): head for the airport's train station and buy a train ticket to Leiden (Central Station).
By train (Leiden Central Station): there is a bus lines info office just outside the main entrance (Leiden), buy a "strippenkaart" (multiple bus ticket) before boarding; taxis and Train taxis are available at the back entrance (LUMC); there is also a train service to Voorhout and Hillegom. Hike & bike: rent a bike at a train station (Leiden, Voorhout) or in Noordwijk.
