Wagenmuseum: exhibition and collection of various kinds of horse

Ecomare: visitor centre in nature area Duinpark. Ecomare
gives information on the Wadden Sea, the North Sea and Texel, by means of slide
presentations and exhibitions. Fish and other animals from the Wadden Sea and
North Sea can be seen in the sea aquarium. There is also a seal sanctuary and
a bird shelter. With Ecomare, you can book nature excursions to the Slufter,
the Schorren and the wad. During the holidays there are active and educational
programs for children about seals, the North Sea and the Wadden Sea. Ruijslaan

Luchtvaart Museum Texel: in this museum there is an
exhibition about the history of water plane airbase De Mok (1917-1940). There
is also an exhibition about the Russian war (5-20 May 1945). Although Germany
had already surrendered itself, WW II went on for two more weeks in Texel. In
these battles 120 inhabitants of Texel were killed, as well as 565 Georgians
